Trekking from Monterosso to Vernazza (high trekking route)

This is an exceptional alternative to the coastal route from Monterosso to Vernazza. The trail climbs steadily through lush forests and farmland and is wide and well-made. We go up to the Sanctuary, Church of Our Lady of Soviore, above Monterosso. It's a fairly challenging climb, but the views of the Tyrrhenian Sea are incredible. On clear days you can see Corsica. Superb vegetation with beautiful olive groves along the entire route and the typical Mediterranean scrub with the strawberry tree reigning supreme, also featuring chestnut trees, holm oaks and downy oaks.
