We start from Riomaggiore station following path number 3 which takes us to
Sanctuary of the Madonna di Montenero where you can see them with a splendid view
the Cinque Terre up to Punta Mesco and Monterosso towards the west while, to the east you can see
the Portovenere peninsula then uphill again passing through the group of houses of Lemmen
continuing uphill among vineyards and olive groves you reach the Telegrafo ridge.
From here the path goes gently downhill until you reach the town of Campiglia, continue and
we enter the woods, leaving the cliff of Mount Muzzerone and arriving at the refuge
of the same name where you can stop and be amazed by the incomparable panorama overlooking
Portovenere and behind the islands Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto. The path is now quite steep
until we reach the Doria castle and the walls which take us down a steep staircase
Portovenere.
