Private Boat Tour to Cinque Terre & Portovenere from La Spezia
Board the Goletta Kimera in La Spezia at 10:00 a.m. for a full-day private sailing experience along one of Italy's most iconic coastlines. After a short briefing with the captain, you will set sail towards the UNESCO-listed archipelago of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto — three spectacular islands that mark the entrance to the Gulf of Poets.
The first destination is Portovenere, where the Goletta anchors directly in front of the ancient waterfront. Here you will admire the Church of San Pietro, a magnificent Gothic structure built in the 13th century, perched dramatically on the rocky headland above the sea.
Sailing to the Heart of the Cinque Terre Marine Park
The tour then continues along the coast to the Cinque Terre, the five legendary fishing villages — Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore — declared UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. Seen from the sea, the colourful stacked houses clinging to sheer cliffs above crystal-clear waters offer a view that simply cannot be replicated from land.
During navigation, the captain makes dedicated stops for swimming and snorkelling. Weather permitting, guests go ashore for approximately 1 hour to stroll through the narrow alleys of one of the villages. Disembarkation is available exclusively in Vernazza, via an authorised taxi boat — a service only possible because the Goletta Kimera holds the official Park Authority authorisation to enter the Cinque Terre Marine Protected Area and moor at the designated buoys inside the park.
At approximately 3:00 p.m. the boat heads back, arriving at the port of La Spezia at around 5:00 p.m.
Itineraries are subject to weather and sea conditions. The skipper may adjust the route at any time to ensure the safety of all guests. Punctuality at boarding and disembarkation is required: delays exceeding the scheduled times will incur a charge of €120 per hour. In case of unjustified delay, the captain reserves the right to depart without the late guests.
